May Eleven

Sunday, May 11, 2025. 42.6* Sun

Freshly washed, morning has not yet dried her face looking like a painting. For a brief moment Soleil sits on the pond. Last night stars, hundreds of stars in a clear sky, full moon, peepers singing.

As I fed the three last evening, I was drawn to the laundry room window streaked with rain making the view wavy. I could see the pond and the wake something I couldn’t see was making. I kept returning to that window only to see rain-streaked panes, rain splashing in the pond.

Ferns unwind among Lily of the Valley, pockets of water, tangles of branches. Many birds sing. This day. This is our beginning.

He shines on them like the morning light.

He is like the sunshine on a morning without clouds.

He is like rain that makes the new grass grow

out of the earth through sunshine after rain.
