First glance, sun angled distorting vision, I thought, branch shadows on snow no one walks on. No. Not shadows. No branches are shaped that way. Something awakened to warmth, to rain, has been exploring. Vole?

Last call required me to dry the three. Rain fell through sleepless hours, morning revealing an icescape I hadn’t imagined. The three maneuvered gracefully, no slips, slides, falls. Weather advisory until 9 for freezing road surfaces. Stream like coffee with cream ice bound.
