Sky, not quite blue, not quite gray. Clouds do not sit on the horizon forming mountains. Hands cold. The three, a picture of pure joy running, playing, come to me wagging all over to share presence. Spring has entered their souls.
Green shoots sprout from the-falling-into-boulders tree debris where last year I tossed wildflower seeds kept for too many years. I photographed some greenery – Yellow Star of Bethlehem.
A few new voices join the morning chorus: Yellow-rumped Warbler, Red-winged Blackbird, House Finch, American Goldfinch, Red-eyed Vireo, Black-and-white Warbler, Ovenbird, Gray Catbird, Eastern Phoebe, Northern Waterthrush, Blue-headed Vireo, Common Yellowthroat.
Even old seeds hold the promise of blossoms.
