Sky a child’s blue and white abstract. Fringed False Buckwheat seeking dominance, climbs over boulders, clamps red feet onto soil tripping those not looking. A clear morning. No spider strings. No breeze. Ripe blueberries missing. Raspberry bushes gangly, meagerly producing. Must acquaint myself with their care, feeding and pruning.

No singing. Only me speaking to the three. Merlin not even listening. There’s nothing to hear. Sun shining.

In the beginning of each day…seeing.
