It’s difficult to hear the Black-capped Chickadee through the squabbling of Blue Jays and American Crows who seem quite upset about something upstream. Sky blue without clouds. Dew. Hands cold. Stars last night. Most leaves still green. Spent time yesterday pulling tiny oaks with tiny red leaves and very long roots. I thought Corelle unbreakable until I dropped Zsolt’s bowl: shattered slivers mixed with dog food scattered everywhere like an explosion. No pieces large enough to pick up, glue together. The dogs scattered too. Zsolt didn’t mind eating from a stainless bowl. There was a reason I stopped using stainless bowls but now I can’t remember. Allergies? Reflections that startled Zsolt? He was a puppy then.

Age alters some reactions.
