Under a gray, clouded sky, bright orange places a mark on the horizon. Dew. Not frost. Quiet. Over the past few days, trees green morphed into yellow. Leaves once on trees color the ground. Ferns gold. Some grasses brown. Sky bluing. Coffee cooling. A light breeze passes. Returns. Sun rises.
The hours of light grow shorter.
