     NOW the temperature will ascend, oh wait, the sun is gone again. Last night predicted 90 but has changed to high eighties this morning. The spider living on the windowsill has gone into hiding – perhaps reading a book on the shelf below.

     Swathed in Cedarcide didn’t deter deer flies as I weed whacked yesterday wary of places snakes might be hiding. Who knows what diseases deer flies bring? (There’s a list). Long grasses are favored by ticks. Dark morning brightens.

     In the distance five birds sing while two meander their fenced-in-land. Zayne stands next to me enjoying the snow brush on his back not seeing black dust, hair floating down the ramp.

 

Sages of every situation, dogs teach us to lean into each breath.
