Sky, first light, shapes of trees emerging. The three out/in darkness at 0500 sleep again. Crunchy, snow barely covers the deck. Horseshoes molded from snow ornament the fence amidst raffia. Orange seen through layers of curtains, blinds. Too overcast last night to view Northern Lights. Yesterday, unidentified, a bird was heard.
Tuesday bears another morn of quiet.
