At 0500 soft rain soaked the three efficiently. They shook themselves while exploring. I went inside. No sun at five, no sky prepared for her reception later. By 0700 all was damp, not soaked. Gray. Did not see, only Merlin heard the Ruffled Grouse. Zayne appears at my elbow smelling of dust from rolling about in the sun. Last summer I dubbed him “dirt dog.” It still applies. He’s not interested in having a shiny coat. Zayne is also known as “heart dog,” “magic man.”
We are called by more than one name.
