Sun painted orange greeted as I opened the door the second time to let the three explore. Sky, blue, mottled with sheer strips of cotton candy not quite clouds. I sweep away spider strings with the broken snow brush. Something tried to build a nest on the thin metal arm holding a spaceship solar light. Zsolt barks something in the driveway. Zayne comes to see, doesn’t speak. Birds a soft hum: Northern Waterthrush, Cedar Waxwing, Red-eyed Vireo, Hairy Woodpecker, Blue Jay, Common Yellowthroat, American, Crow, Eastern Phoebe, American Robin, Magnolia Warbler, Blue-headed Vireo. A mosquito hoovers.
It is time for feeding.
